As a child, I was labeled as hyper, rebellious, too talkative and a “lazy student”. It was not until I was in college that I was diagnosed with learning disABILITIES. It was such a relief to have an answer to all my questions and to finally work through the challenges.
Thought it has not been easy, and it is still a struggle today, I am a successful person both professionally and personally. I am married with two young boys and offer my knowledge and experiences with other parents.
I have been teaching for eight years and started my own Educational Enrichment center to work with children who have a diverse range of disABILITIES. I specialize in children who have been diagnosed with ADHD, DYSLEXIA, PERVASIVE DEVELOPMENT DISORDERS, SENSORY INTEGRATION, COGNITIVE and AUDITORY PROCESSING ISSUES, ACADEMIC RELATED SKILLS and SOCIAL-EMOTIONAL CHALLENGES.
I love working with children and seeing them get excited when they understand a concept they never thought they could master. I am a firm believer that if you give a child the tools they need to learn and to grow, that with the right person, environment, love and structure, they will blossom.
